Hey Deb!
I really think it would be a good idea to get your mom tested for Antiphospholipid Syndrome, especially because she had a heart attack. The blood tests are the Lupus anticoagulant and the anticardiolipin. If one, or both are positive then chances are she has it. Does your mom have migraines or headaches lots? Has she had miscarraiges? Or ever had a DVT or clot in her leg? Its funny that you just posted this, I was thinking about you guys yesterday night and thought that the heart attack and the Lupus puts her at risk for APS so I am glad that you have ESP! Please get her to go and get tested.. its treatable with Warfarin (a blood thinner) that will help her to feel a lot better. Her GP would be able to do the tests, and also you could ask the GP if she has been tested in the past. If YOU have symptoms of headache, or any other APS symptoms its worth you getting tested for too Deb. Especially if your mom was to have it! You take care and please go and get mom tested soon! And of course, give her a big hug from Dr. Dana LOL
~Luv, Dana
