Question does anyone else do this

Hello there. Yesterday I began to have sharp pains in my stomach. As the day went on I started feeling worse and worse. By 5:00 I was extremly achy(?sp) and was freezing. Although I checked my temp and I didn't have one. Left side of face was numb but yet it hurt to touch, if that makes sense. I began to have tremors or something and of course a bad headache. I thought maybe I was just coming down with the flu but I woke up this morning and I don't feel nearly as bad as yesterday, at least so far. Usually when I get the flu I feel achy and have a temp. for at least a week. Just wondering if anyone else does this?

Hi football mom,

YIKES it sounds to me like you may have had a TIA or mini stroke. Did you go the the ER department? I think it would be a good idea to get into your doctor and get looked at. Sounds scary, and I have had them so I understand. The achy thing is typical of Lupus too! I get that lots as well. Please get to your doctor to have some blood work done and get looked over. TIAs are scary, if thats what you had for sure. I hope your feeling better Take care!

No I didn't go to the er because I just thought I was coming down with a bad case of the flu or something. After I woke up the next morning I realized that I wasn't coming down with the flu. I felt so weird though and I didn't want to scare my husband or child so I just went to bed and cried. Can they do a simple blood test to see if I did have a tia or since it is over will it not show up?

Hi Football Mom,

I usually experience symptoms like you described before a flare - cold, achy and have had the numbeness in the face with headache, pins and needles in my head and tremor (I also usually think I'm getting the flu until it doesn't develop into flu and lasts a few weeks). A Doctor once told me that the tremor is associated with migraine (but he was more of a headache than the one I had so I'm choosing to dicount his opinions).
I have some extreme right sided stomach pain on and off - but most other problems are left sided. I had an ultrasound for my pain in lower stomach - only showed 'cervical fluid' - I have no idea what that meant - radiologist asked when my last pap smear was.
I have seen a Gastro. re my stomach pain - naturally they blame everything they have no idea about on irritable bowel syndrome.
Did your stomach bloat up or was it just painful?
Did/do you have eye problems also?
What did your doctor say?

Hope you are feeling better soon,
Take care,
Gina

I have had some right side pain also. Gallbladder has already been removed and have done a catscan and upper G.I. but showed nothing. But most of my problems are on the left side also. Sunday night through today my stomach just had sharp pains running through it about every couple of minutes, in the middle, like someone just stabs me every few minutes. But that has slowed down a lot today. I wear glasses on a regular basis but last Thursday when I began getting a really weird headache, (I think I have a post about it), I began to see double and things were blurry and then Sunday was a little bit of that but not as much as Thursday. Just called my doctor today to find out why he hasn't got a hold of me and found out he had surgery and was out for two weeks. He was only supposed to be out for one week but it turned into two and today was his first day back. So I left a message for him and also faxed him to let him know what happened and asked him to please get a hold of me. I didn't contact my gp because I thought I was coming down with a bad case of the flu.
So hopefully my doctor will get a hold of me asap. Thanks for your input, I really do appreciate it.
