Another question

Thanks for the welcome ) I have another question regarding Celebrex. My Dr prescribed 200 mg twice a day. I have read a lot about Celebrex and liver damage--my Dr said this is a higher dosage than usual. Should I be worried? Should I just take one a day instead of 2?

Hi Heather!

I would take the dosage recommended by your doctor. If you have any side effects, please let him or her know so that they can adjust your dosage. Your doctor will give you the amount that you require based on a number of things such as weight, pain, amount of inflammation (markers in blood work), etc. I was on 80mg of Prednisone orally for a few months which is WAY higher than most people take for a long time. It all depends on what is going on with us- it is so individualized. Your doctor will also watch your liver enzymes to see how they are, but not everyone has liver damage from Celebrex. I would definitely stick with what your doctor says because they know what your body is doing Take care!
