| Re: Need Prayers
Hello,
I am so sorry for what your husband is going through. I am in somewhat of the same boat as him but after the SoluMedrol for 4 days in the hospital and now have been on Prendinsone for the past 30 days, my TIA's have stopped.
Here is a brief history, I am 47- I have had SLE for 12 years. In Feb. I was hospitalized for an irregular heartbeat and while in the hospital had a stroke. They did clotting studies and I had a positive lupus anticoagulant. Combining this with my other symptoms and earlier pregnancy problems, they diagnosed me with the antiphospholipid syndrome. I was in the hospital 3 weeks (because of physical therapy) - had a TIA when I was there. Had many more TIA's after I came home and went back in the hospital in April. They starting thinking MS on top of the lupus. I have had a spinal tap, evoked potentials tests, EMG of all extremities, more MRI's and on and on. They now think that it is not MS but probably Central Nervous System Lupus. I am taking 30 mg. of Predisone a day and the TIA's have stopped but I still have a lot of numbness and tingling in my hand, foot, face, lips. I have on and off blurred vision- I know just you mean by the smoke and spots, I have a lot of problems with weakness in my legs and am still using a walker from the stroke. I don't have the problem with my legs jumping but I can relate to everything else. The steroids do help the symptoms but they are difficult in other ways. I hope that you will be able to get the bottom of your husbands problems. I will be praying for both of you. Please post when you can and let us know how he is doing. Hang in there and good luck to you both.
