I was diagnosed 3 yrs ago with lupus and then 2 yrs ago with R.A. Other than the daily problems associated with those I was diagnosed with pelvic congestion syndrome last yr and hemorhagic ovarian cysts. I had a hysterectomy in August of this year because the pain was more than I could handle. I find that because or ever since my lupus and R.A. diagnosis the rest of my body isn't functioning like it should. I forget everything lately, it hard to even hold a conversation. I've been on Plaqunil for about 3 months now and I guess its ok. I haven't flared up in a while. I just feel broken. Its hard to go to work, sometimes i have fevers of 101 for 2-3 days. I don't have a lot of people around me who understand or know what this feels like and if I try to explain I feel like I'm complaining. Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone has experienced any of this?
Yes, I can totally relate. I was diagnosed back in 1987 and after many years of struggling to work; I applied for Social Security in 2001 and was approved. While that's great for not having to go to work every day. Unfortunately, I still feel sick. I understand the running fevers, joint pain, fatigue, depression, etc. I am irritated with my rheumy and trying another one next week.
Try to hang in there and know that there will be better times ahead.
