I've been having issues with my kidneys for the last year. I've had stones three times in the past year(infections with two of the sets) and I have "stumped the experts" on why I had them to begin with and why they keep coming back. On my last birthday they also found excess protein in my urine and did a 24-hour collection. The 24-hour came back within normal limits for protein but I still had protein and white blood cells(with a clean culture). When reading about protein in the urine and what can cause it, lupus keeps coming up as a possible cause. I also dropped 12-15 pounds sometime between december and february, which my urologist was quick to blame on stress. I do get the red rash on my nose that spreads on to my cheeks that flares up and then dissapears and I have sores around the outside of my mouth that aren't zits but don't resemble cold sores either that also come and go. I don't know if I'm just making things fit symptoms or if this is something I should really pursue...but it really bugs me that they can't figure out why my kidneys keep giving me trouble and I would just love to figure out why, even though my urologist doesn't really seem to care...anyone have any suggestions?
