just a question... Hi everyone. i have a lot of different symptoms and am in the middle of getting tested for lyme disease with igeneX. i did see a rheumatologist and had an ana which came up negative. i am also planning to return to her for the other antibody tests. My question is... I have these rashes... well they aren't really rashes because they aren't discolored, more like dry skin patches sort of circular-- one on my arm and one on my chest. My face is slightly discolored, in the cheeks, but only really when i am stressed or exerting myself, so i don't know if that corresponds. but these raised bumpy dry skin patches, do these seem lupus related? My rheumatologist did not seem concerned. Thanks for the help! Michelle |
Re: just a question... well it depends how many symptoms you have like u said when you get stressed you get them.if you have lupus you'll have more of the syptoms like i wrote in my ****,well those are my symptoms but i dont know for sure if i have it. but hopefully you dont and i will pray for you! Re: just a question... Michelle, i just read your post, and i havenn't been diagnosed yet, but its probable.......... the weirdest thing, i have those exact same circular things on my arms too, and they go away after awhile, but if you look real close you can see where they were, almost like a scar, and they return in the same spots, sometimes i get new ones, also i noticed the other day when i got out of the shower that they were all red......i guess the heat basically i have no clue if they are lupus related or not..........but i have them too!! what are your other symptoms?? maybe we have the same thing, lupus or not!! Re: just a question... Hello there, Just to say there are diferent types of "lupus rash" which can only be diagnosed by a specialist. They can look the same as some lupus rashes but only definitive testing will be able to put a name to them if they are indeed are in any way "lupusey". Have any of you looked into this type of rash as perhaps being a type of psoriasis, as you seem to be going through a lot of stress at the moment. Just a thought I had which I wanted to pass on. Take care goldenwings  |
