Amodiaquine - When will I feel better?

I tried Plaquenil and couldn't handle some of the side effects. I have now been on Amodiaquine for a couple of months and my body tolerates it much better. I was just diagnosed in December. I understand that it can take 6 months for the drugs to get to high enough levels in your body. What are your experiences? How long before you felt different or had less photo sensitivity?
