ASO titer testing?
I've been sick a little over two years now. I've been through a few different doctors now seeking a diagnosis. I have been informally diagnosed with lupus by 3 doctors who were not seeing me for that specific reason. My last doctor ejected me for her practice about a month ago and I started seeking a new doctor. Its frusterating because I have to start all over again, and whats worse is that I dont think this doctor believes there is anything wrong with me. He really hasnt done any testing and I havent went to see a good rhuemy yet. When I started seeing him the first thing he did was cut me off all the pain medication I was on (ultram and prescription strenght naproxyn). That pain medication didnt completely ease my pain but it was enough to help me get through the day. Now I wake up in tears in the morning and can barely make it through the day. I have requested to be put back on the medicatio nbut he refused becuase first of all he says I am too young to be on pain medication (I am 24), but I think sick is sick, I dont understand why someone who is 30 years older than me and in less considerable pain than me can be prescribed things like oxycontin and vicodins and such. Secondly he says there is no proof of anything showing that I have an illness. I have two years worth of old medical records I have been fishing through when I remembered some testing I had done specifically for lupus testing. The first was an ANA testing which was positive and I thought the other one was called an ASO titer test, this one was positive as well. I tried looking them up on the net and I found ANA testing but I cant find this ASO titer test anywhere, so I was wondering if anyone had an idea what this test is. Also I was wondering if anyone else had this much trouble getting a diagnosis. I am to my wit's end with these doctors doubting me and treating me like I am crazy. I need some way to prove to them that there is something wrong with me so I can get better now. Are there any specific test I should do? I went to see a rhuemy who was two hours away and overloaded on patients and only been able to get into the office twice in the last 8 months for blood test only and not much else has happened there so I have an appointment with a new rhuemy who is closer. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
