I have a question I hope someone can help me with. I had blood work done and got the results last week. My ANA was 1200 and my Neurologist immediatly called a Immonologist/Rheumatologist while I was there and set up an appt. which I will have this week. I know the "norm" is somewhere around 40 so I knwo this is very high but I also read something last night that said if you are on Prednisone it shoudl lower your ANA. Well, I was on Prednisone from another doctor trying to put a bandaide on things when that blood work was done. I can find out later this week but it is really on my mind. Does anyone know if that is true? Can Prednisone lower the ANA if I was taking it when the blood work was done? If so, that means my ANA is even higher.
