OK so I was the one with the original question "Can Prednisone affect your ANA test?" I see that a lot of people have read the post but no one seemed to have an answer. Well, I spoke to my doctor today and the answer if anyone is interested is YES. So in other words, one doctor put me on Prednisone and another doctor knew to check the ANA. My ANA is 1280 while on Prednisone which means it is mostly likely much higher than that for real. Just thought I would let anyone know so if you go to a doctor that doesn't know what's wrong with you and just wants to put a bandaide on things by putting you on a steroid be sure and tell the next doctor you run into that actually knows what he's doing that you are on them. I did and they knew it but I didn't know until today that the number 1280 which I thought was extremely high is probably higher now that I am off the Prednisone. You really have to be your own advocate these days....
God Bless.
