Hey, I am posting this here, as I think there are more Lupies on Plaquenil than those with RA... How does a common cold affect you on Plaquenil? I am on 200mg once a day and 10mg of predinsone. I feel lousy today - achey, feverish, chills, that sort of thing. Normally I would just go home and sleep it off. Do I need to call the doc? If not now, at what point? My Plaquenil dose was decreased due to nausea and vomiting, and I am much more nauseous now than I have been. Another concern?

Iv'e been on Plaquenil for several years now, but it's never affected me at all while having colds. HOwever, the steroids sure can affect you. Steroids lower your immunity, so it increases the chance of catching colds & Other infections, and also makes it harder to fight infection while taking it. How long have you been takiing the pred?

I have been on it for about 4 weeks now. I have noticed that simple things like paper cuts take for freaking ever to heal now. I carry around antibiotic ointment. I have felt HORRIBLE the past few days.. so bad I didn't go to the Clemson game and I am one of their biggest fans
