Have you been to the dr? I am just a patient myself but really to be honest the only thing that will cause white specks and burning/stinging when urinating is a bladder infection or urinary tract infection. The only way to know is to have urinalysis.
I have alot of kidney issues that are lupus related. Burning is not one of the symptoms. In fact, the only way you know you have kidney problems is the urinalysis. That and the fact that my ankles are like silly putty.
If you have recently had a urinalysis, your rheumi may have seen the white cells and bacteria an not mentioned it (that whole not my area thing they have). You can call them and they will let you know and maybe call you in an antibiotic for it.
Hi. I had many episodes of urinary urgency, with substantial discomfort, yet wasn't testing positive for UTI's. My urologist even considered testing me for interstitial cystitis, but held off because I was a mess on all fronts. Then I was dx'ed, started Plaquenil, and have had hardly any issues since.
If I feel some discomfort coming on, I watch what I eat & drink. The standard diet reco's for Interstitial Cystitis used to help me somewhat (e.g., avoid spices, acid foods, caffeine, carbonation, alcohol, etc.) If urologist &/or nephrologist haven't come up with anything, you may want to experiment with diet changes & see if that helps.
It can get miserable, I know...! Good luck! Sincerely, Vee
