Is it normal for one side of your body to hurt more than the other? ..please advice.

Hello every one, I'm still waiting to see the rheumy on July 1st. Just wondering if there is anyone out there that can relate to my pain. I noticed that for the past few days my left part of my body hurts more than my right, even though my right side still hurts. My left hip hurts a lot, and my left lower leg also, very tired, headaches and jaw pain. Does anyone know if this is normal with lupus? thanks to all of you!

My doctor suspects that I have Lupus so I don't have an official diagnosis yet. I can tell you that I generally hurt on both sides of my body, but one side usually is more severe. For example, I was having really bad cramping my calves earlier this week and my left calf was hurting more than my right, but they both still hurt. Does that make sense?

I also have problems with my left hip joint and no problems with my right. Not sure if this will help you...or confuse you more.

I have one knee that bothers me worse than the other, one elbow is worse than the other, so to me, what you describe seems perfectly normal.

Thank you Sherry, at least now i know that it is normal to hurt more on one side. Why does your Doctor suspect you have lupus? If you don't mind sharing. I find it very interesting to read other people's symtoms and how and what lead for them to getting dx. Good luck in your journey.

Blessings!
