my daughter has lupus my mother just found out she has a connective tissue disease ,and i just had ana test and it came back 1:160 speckled i have rash joint pain pain in groin constant neck pain is this most likely lupus?

Hiya ren772,

Only a doctor would be able to specifically state that you have lupus of any type. It is diagnosed not only by ANA tests, but by a number of other factors being part of the diagnosis. The doctor, preferably a rheumatologist, will ask lots of questions regarding your health generally, and symptoms of other things you might have had for years. Also he would ask if you experienced a,b or c from a young age and general questions regarding these types of things up until the present day.

The other thing is a positive ANA does not mean that you have lupus though. It can be found in many conditions, including Sjogren's syndrome, scleroderma, rheumatoid arthritis, & mixed connective tissue disease. Many normal healthy people will also have a positive ANA test.
