Question Provigil & Prednisone!?!?!?!?

Hi All!

My doctor just put me on Prednisone (20 mg for 30 days) and he also gave me some samples of Provigil for my fatigue. I' ve never had either of these medications before. Can someone tell me what I might experience.

Re: Provigil & Prednisone!?!?!?!?

I have been on Provigil for over a year now. I can say, at first, I noticed a significant improvement in the fatigue. I was actually able to want to do things. Now, not sure why, it doesn't seem to help at all. I'm thinking that my body has adjusted to it. I see my rheumie on Wednesday and will mention it to her.

I was taking Prednisone during pregnancy to help with flares. I'm now on Plaquenil again. I'm also currently taking Prednisone to help with a flare. I do love the prednisone because it helps so quickly! The down side are the side effects. These are usually seen with long term therapy, so if you can take it for a short period of time you should be okay.
