Question alternatives to medicine

I am 42 years old and was diagnosed with Lupus 2 1/2 weeks ago. My primary doctor put me on Prednisone. I'm feeling a lot better now. I have dropped from 30mg to 5mg now.

Has anyone out there had any success in treating Lupus symptoms with alternatives to western medicine or diet? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Examine your diet. Many cases of lupus, MS, fibromyalgia, etc. are reactions to a poison like nutrasweet. My own daughter had lupus like symptoms, (went to the Dr., put on prednisone etc.) but we stopped the diet cokes, and the symptoms are gone. I can't post it, I don't think, but do a search for George Malkmus, and read the many testimonials about diseases cured with a more natural diet, and supplements like Barley Green. That stuff is wonderful. I take it from time to time for general nutrition.

Thanks all things,
I appreciate the info. Although I had the lupus blood tests done, and the doctor said I had "classic lupus symptoms" I still have to wonder.(Could be denial).I have been under a lot of stress for the last 2 yrs while building a house. I have been relativly healthy up to this time. I am seeing an acupuncturist and taking some Chinese herbs now. I believe I can be healed of whatever I have, although I know it may take some time.

In the Back of the book I have, called: 'Your bodies many cries for water' by F. Batmanghelidj,M.D., there is a book from the same author called: 'ABC of ASTHMA, ALLERGIES, & LUPUS. They might have one or both of these available at your library.
