Howdy,
Hope everyone is doing well this afternoon.
I hope that someone knows the answer to my question. I had an ANA test done. Could someone please tell what these results mean?
Serum ANA1 was 8 ASAT: was 1:40 titer and ANAPAT: Speckled
Thank you.
Michele
Hi Michele,
Your serum ANA is normal. A normal result reads as less than 1:20. Your titers are also normal as CindyLou mentioned anything less than 1:80 is considered normal. The pattern on the test is used to pinpoint further what autoimmune disease is present, if any. A speckled pattern is usually indicitative of lupus, mixed connective tissue disease, sjogren's syndrome. I hope this helped
