Saturday and Sunday I noticed an increase in joint pain (especially feet, hands, back and hips). I woke up this morning with a sore throat, fever, and congestion. Wondering if the body was telling me something - the inflammation of the joints connected to the fever and inflamed throat/tonsils, etc.
Hi I dont know much about it but my mom suffers from it now and then and the doctors havent told her much other than it is related to the lupus. I am sorry I cant be of much help but I hope you feel better.
I see my doctor enough for other things, I don't bother with a cold/mild fever. I feel like a hypochodriac already! I'll discuss it with my rheumy next time I see him... I'm guessing that there is a correlation since fever/cold means that the autoimmune system is going into overdrive - which could affect the joints, etc. *Playing amateur Marcus Welby
Yeah, I know what you mean about feeling like a hypochondriac. I do too sometimes. That makes sense though about the autoimmune system causing the fever/cold because it has just gone into overdrive. Isn't this fun?
When I have a cold I seem to have less joint pain.
It's like my over active immune system has the cold
to occupy its self and it leaves my joints alone.
