 Pleural Friction Rub/Pleurisy
I went to the Dr. for a routine check-up and he discovered I have a pleural friction rub. He sent me on to a pulmonary specialist who determined that it was caused by a virus and would probably eventually go away. Well, it has never gone away and the Dr's are baffled. One Dr. did say that I could be in the very early stages of an autoimmune disorder. They did all the tests, sed rate, ANA, etc. and all came back fine. I have a friend who has lupus and she said she gets a pleural friction rub every Fall and just takes Aleve and hers goes away. I've been put on anti-inflammatories and mine still won't go away. Anyone else experience this?
