glucosamine chondroiton and possible lupus - Lupus Message Board

just got my lab back and says all lab to suggestlupus are normal and is starting me on glucosamine chondroiton and i was just wondering if anyone has bee placed on this for their lupus joint pains. can't explain actually frustrated that the results came back normal i was looking for validation and once again i'm back to the i'm crazy phase again. anyhow, just because the results were normal this time does that mean i don't have lupus?

You don't say whether you have more symptoms than
just joint pain. Usually you will have many more
symptoms if you have lupus. It could be fibromyalga.
Not sure of the spelling? It wouldn't hurt to take
the glucosamine and see if it helps. I know a
surgeon who swears by it for all his patients with
knee problems. He says some patients didn't need
surgery after taking it.

denise, thanks for answering. i have now been recently put on elavil for fibromyalgia for the time being. actually just got prescibed today. as far as other symptoms i have many....at least when i look at the list of lupus symptoms i meet many of them and have for awhile, but lab work said no lupus my dr. says. but i heard that that doesn't decide whether or not i have lupus.. don't know but going crazy with it all
