hi all,
i just had a ques. about joint pain. i wanted to know if anyone has joint pain without swelling? my kness, hips, hands, and feet have been killing me, but I dont see any swelling.
let me know
sha
Yup, Sounds familiar. In addition to joints my ribs
also hurt. No swelling anywhere just discomfort.
Sometimes heating pads help and other times ice packs
help. It's just something to try to live with.
Sorry. Mine comes and goes. I'll feel ok for a while
and then feel like an 90 yr old lady.
My joints are in pain constantly. Over the counter anti-inflammatories are helpful. Also, I am trying a new treatment that is helping me a lot with pain. It is lymph drainage massage. It is very relaxing and (though initially I feel terrible) it gives me days of relief after I have it done. Basically, the person simulates the pattern of your lymph system with their hands, helping toxins to drain. I don't usually reccommend things, but I haven't been getting much help from the medical profession. And,this is really helping me so thought I'd pass it along!
I often experience joint pain without swelling -- especially in my wrists. Of course, I also have hip pain, where I think it would be very difficult to discern swelling (especially given the extra padding in that area!) http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/redface.gif)
Its nice to know that Im not alone although I wish you did not have the pain. When I went to my Rhumy and he felt my kness and others for swelling he said they look good and feel cool to the touch well I told him they sure did not feel good.
Sha,
