Hi I have a question regarding dieting and connective tissue disease. I say connective tissue disease because I have a positive ANA, and aches, but... Rhumatologist has not yet determined which disease. A Lupus cell pattern was present, but blood work does not confirm.I would like to loose weight, and I was wondering if Diet pills( all natural) would be bad for me to start taking? I am off all meds at this time, and only taking over the counter meds for pain.I just dont want to make myself worse. Thank You.

I would not risk taking any diet pills. You say natural
which I take to mean over the counter. None of those
work and you can't be sure what is in them since
they are not regulated. I wish there was a magic pill
to lose weight but there isn't. It's hard to lose weight
when you feel too achy to exercize but try to just cut
out sweets and dairy(dairy has long been thought to aggravate autoimmune problems) and try to walk every
day. Just as much as you feel up to. And also don't
ever try the Atkins Diet. It is not a good diet for
lupus. I found out the hard way. Good luck to you.
