Hi,
After having two uninterupted years of unrelenting arthritic pain, it's subsided and has been replaced with an all day stiffness. Has anyone experienced this?

I'm always stiff in the morning, but now I spend most of the day walking around like the tin man looking for oil! I've never heard of severe stiffness as being a symptom of lupus ... could it be something else?

Although I must look goofy lurching around it is a gift to be pain free even if only for a while!

Any information will be appreciated! Thanks very much!

Hi I too suffer from stiffness, but mine has always been associated with pain too. I look like a grandma trying to walk in the morning. My daughter even will ask me why I am walking like that (she is 4) Mine starts to get better as the day goes on. If I lay down in the afternoon it comes right back though.

I was diagnosed with Lupus 10 years ago, but the stiffness has gotten worse over the last 2 years. Hopefully my Dr. will be able to put a stop to it. I think it is fairly common to have the stiffness, most of the people I know who have Lupus also have stiffness as well.
