I've had a couple episodes now where I've gotten dizzy, had to sit down, and my breathing has gotten faster. My hands and body shake, and I feel like I can't move. My eyes kind of flicker open and close and I get really hot. Often to the point where sweat is pouring down. This recently happened in the snow. The sweating got so bad that my hair was starting to get wet. Another time I was climbing up stairs, and had to lie down on the landing after climbing two flights. Has anyone experienced this type of thing? Does anyone know what it might mean?
I went to the Dr, and she said it was probably just a problem with my inner ear. Do you think I should go to someone else? She really didn't offer anything for me to do if it happens again, or address the fact that it could be bad.
Those symptoms could be alot of things, so I don't
know what to think of your Dr. Does your Dr. usually
dismiss you're complaints? Since I don't know anything
about you it would be hard to guess at what these
symptoms mean. Your Dr. at least knows your age, weight,
medications you're on and general health. These symptoms could be experienced by someone with Lupus
but it could also come from heart problems, lung problems, menapause, anxiety attacks
the list could go on. The rule of thumb is if you are
not satisfied with your Dr. get a second opinion.
Only you know how you feel. I never had an inner ear
problem but I've never heard of sweating with ear
problems. Like I said this could be from Lupus but
something else could be going on too. I'm always
afraid of blaming every symptom on Lupus and then
missing a different illness that could be corrected.
