Question Sjogrens Preegnancy Plaquenil
My wife is on plaquenil and wants to get pregnant. She has Sjogrens Syndrome. Has anyone tried to get pregnant? If so you had to stop taking plaquenil what other drug did you take or are there any other alternatives. PLEASE HELP!!

Did your wife's doctor tell her that she should stop Plaquenil? I recall reading an article very recently which stated that they have shown that it is safe to continue taking it during pregnancy.

I think the best person to check with is your pharmacist! They know so much more about the latest when it comes to drugs than the doctor.

Maybe a consultation with a genetics councelor (my gyn made that recomendation to me a few yrs ago) would benefit you both. Do exaustive homework. There must be an alternative safe therapy for a growing baby and mother.
