My sister has lupus and i have question - Lupus Message Board

Hi,
I just got an email from my sister who said she needs an mri because she might have lupus cebritis (sp?)...does anyone know what this is? She has been suffering with lupus for 21 yrs and i have no idea what this new thing could be. Thank you for any posts.

Sounds like they are checking for swelling or lesions. I was sent for an MRI of my head earlier this year by my rehumy, so it could be routine or it may be because she has developed some other problems I don't know because you did not say if she was experiencing new issues. Sorry I am not of more help.

I hope her MRI turns up clear.

Thank you for your reply. She told me its cerebritis had spelled it wrong and that its lupus that has spread to the brain. She is very optomistic and doesnt wnat to worry me but thats not gonna happen, I will always worry about her she is my best friend...my sister. Thank you for your reply.
