SEGS stands for segmental neutrophils. These are the first line defending white blood cells. When these are elevated, it means the body is fighting an infection. So, to answer your question yes! We are at a higher risk for infection because of Lupus and our immune systems being so out of wack. Hope this helps
No problem that's why I am here! Lymphocytes are white blood cells that fight off antibodies. I would think that since yours are high, your body is fighting something! What are your symptoms?
