her cardiologist saw some calcium deposits on her valve
which he is watching.
I was reading in the LUPUS book about this and it seems
that this can be Lupus related too.

Oh you bet the heart can be involved with Lupus! The heart muscle itself can become inflamed, or even fluid can build up around the heart. This is called Pericarditis and can be very dangerous. Prednisone helps get rid of this problem quite nicely. Is your mom having symptoms of this now? Aren't these new boards amazing!! I love that we can private message each other now.. isnt that neat.
