Re: itchy skin

butch445 - I don't have the itching when my skin is wet, but I will scratch myself until I bleed if I do not keep moisturizer on my skin. I use basic OTC Johnson & Johnson Ultra Healing lotion and it feels GREAT after applying to my skin. It's not a lot to offer, but I hope this helps!

Re: itchy skin

Hi Butch,

The Plaquenil helps my itchy skin and has helped clear up the dryness but I do have a rash from Tumid Lupus that would itch till I wanted to cry and dig my nails in and scratch it off my face. My Dermie prescribed metrocream .75% which has been a god send for me. I have no more itching now. So Yes talk to your dermier about this issue.

Re: itchy skin

I have Lupus and Sjogrens, have been on Plaquenil for 4 1/2 years. Have had a few flares, but with the Plaquenil things aren't quite as bad. But you mentioned itchy skin - just the other day I told my husband that when I get out of the shower, mostly my arms, but all over I feel itchy and like little pin *****s all over. I use a lot of moisture creams, but nothing helps when I get wet!! I know exactly what you mean. After I am dry awhile the sensation goes away until the next shower.
