Need help w/ ANA panel results numbers...
Wife had an ANA panel done and a nurse called today and said that less than a 1.5 is a concern. My wifes number was a .2

Everything I find online measures this test in the 1:60 for example. We don't understand the above numbers that were given to us.

Any help?

michael ... please rather discuss these results with your doctor ... nurses are sometimes like broken telephones ... you don't get all the info and surely they are not meant to be giving you half information. i have read so many things about receptionist/nurses putting ppl thru pure hell by 'being helpful'
this is a scary time right now and you need to have someone that can answer your questions not leave you with more ...
unfortunately i am not able to understand the *numbers* as there is too little info ... get to the doc or least call him ... ANA results also vary with the lab that is used!

Michael, you could ask them to copy or fax the results to you. I don't think the #'s make sense, either! The measuring system doesn't resemble any I've seen for ANA. Also, the lower the ANA result, the better; so what the nurse said doesn't make sense, for ANA, anyway... Post more when you can, OK? Best wishes to your wife & you, from Vee
