Positive labs-how long?

Hi all, how long did it take for you to test positive via any lab results?

I have read sometimes it does not show up right away on labs even if you have symptoms-is that true?

Re: Positive labs-how long?

What labs specifically are you asking about? Like for instance CBC or lupus labs or which ones?

Re: Positive labs-how long?

I have always had a positive ANA from the time I got sick. It started out at 160 and then gradually went to 320. Basically, that's where I always stay. Just once last year it went up to 640.

My sed rate has always been in the normal range. But the last sed rate I had done was 20. Which up to 20 is normal but I had never had it be 20 before. But the anti sm and the lupus tests are always negative. I was told that if it affects your organs then that's when you test positive in the lupus labs.
