My name is Jennifer, and I'm a new member here. I was recently diagnosed with lupus. I was hoping that I could join your board, to both find and give some support along the way. I'm looking forward to getting to know everybody!
Welcome to the board. If you have not seen the sticky post at the top of the Lupus board, please read as there is some very good info there. I have found the boards to be very helpful, learning ways to cope with the lupus diagnosis and discussions on meds, alternative treatments and ways to survive with a sometimes chronic illness (in some). I do hope that you find the boards as informative and beneficial to your well being as I have. Those here truly understand what you may be dealing with in regards to a lupus diagnosis.
Hi Jennifer, welcome aboard! I am basically a newbie also. I was so glad to have found this sight,it has become addicting. Know I have to get on it daily. There are a great group of folks on here. You can also learn as you read, join in on conversations. But what we all have in common are concerns or ?'s about wellness.Trial and errors. But everyone has a different tolerance to meds., what works for some may not work for others.Alot of help on here, I like it to just have a place to vent. Here they understand what your going though. My husband understands thank goodness. But I don't look sick so his family don't get it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do,I could of used it years ago. WELCOME WELCOME Home Sweet Home
Jennifer, hi & welcome! How are you doing? Are you on a lupus med? Has it had enough time to kick in & help? Hope so! I was diagnosed some years ago, with lighter systemic problems. I suspect I went years with my head in the sand. (Well, actually, I tried hard to get help but didn't make out too well with my local drs.) I'm pleased with how much Plaquenil has helped me. I hope you're on the upswing & that you drop in often. Bye for now, with best wishes, Vee
