Localized scleroderma is referred to as morphea or linear scleroderma and does not affect the internal organs. People who develop localized scleroderma usually do not develop generalized scleroderma. Scleroderma is hardening of the skin. It is another autoimmune disease. Autoimmune diseases travel in packs so she might want to have more thorough testing done. I would think a rheumatologist could do the testing.
