Re: Low Temperature

Low temperature can sometimes be tied to hypothyroidism. Have you had your thyroid levels checked?

Re: Low Temperature

I don't remember any Doctor saying anything about my thyroid being tested. You know I can see if it was once in awhile but its like that all the time.I'll have to look at my past blood test. What other symptoms do you have?
Thanks for responding Mary

Re: Low Temperature

You can look up the symptoms of hypothyroidism. You can also go to the thyroid board on here. There is a lot of information there and some pretty helpful people. If you have any previous results, you could post them on the thyroid board and someone may suggest something. If you have not had a thyroid panel done recently, ask your doctor to test TSH, FreeT4 and FreeT3. The free T's are the best gauge of your thyroid activity. Also to check for Hashimoto's you could ask for TPO and TG antibodies to be checked. Then if the doctor is willing also get Vitamin D, Vitamin B12 and Ferritin checked (all tend to be low in hypothyroid people and cause a whole host of symptoms). Optimal levels for TSH are 1. Good luck to you!
