Wink Is all of this Lupus? Love to hear your advice.

I hope I don't post a lot, because i keep trying, and don't see it after.

My test results and symptoms, some lifelong, but the worst of it in the last ten years are

Anemia on more than a few blood tests
High wbc count, or normal with too high a proportion of allergy cells
Low RBC count
High CRP
Protein in Urine BUN/Creatinine ration high
Liver Enzymes High

Chronic respiratory infections
Cannot breathe deep and now am short of breath if I run three steps (athletic)
Whistling sounds sometimes when I breathe sometimes
Pancreatitis at 18 years old
Widespread severe pain that requires pain meds
Exhaustion daily, or at least most of every day
Chronic inflammation and crackling, popping hand joints, and ankles
Was diagnosed Fibro but think it is part of something, or in addition to something else
Light headed, Fainting, weakness, dizziness
Nausea
Can't pee when I think I have to
Feel sick after eating meat, especially anything with a bit of fat
Severe PMS
Sicker for a year after each c-section, and infection took me over
Periods of time, has been months when I can't leave house (too sick and tired)
Have had yellow eyes (the whites) for a 1.5 year period of time
Get confused and forget everything
My mom gets shots for what she calls "tennis elbow" but pain near her joints
I cannot get out of bed until I take pain meds, I am too stiff in the morn
I burn more easily than the rest of my family, and become totally exhausted in direct sunlight

I do have an established spinal issue. ddd and stenosis etc...
I take antibiotics daily for the chronic respiratory infections or constant
I take percocet for pain
I take antidepressants and one mood stabilizer for bipolar disorder, but only get the agitated depression, or non agitated depression
I get very swollen esp before period, take water pill
I have been searching for a real diagnosis for 10 years although I was sick way before then.

Advice, stories, hellos? All welcome! Thanks for your help and hope I haven't posted ten times!!

Re: Is all of this Lupus? Love to hear your advice.

Hi & a big welcome! I'm sorry you're dealing with so much. Some does sound lupus-like to me, possibly with elements of rheumatoid arthritis? That said, only a rheumatologist can say, of course!

Have you seen the "sticky posts" with contain permanent info in lupus? Look for them at the top of the thread list. You'll find diagnostic criteria, symptoms, tests, a set of "alternative criteria", etc. After you give them a look-see, I hope you post more, with new questions this info triggers, etc.

Have you ever seen a rheumatologist? Or has any other dr. run some of the blood tests & urine tests described in the stickies?

Re: elevated liver enzymes & yellow eyes, have you had your liver thoroughly checked out by a specialist? If not, I'd do that ASAP.

BTW, I only saw one post. Bye for now, sincerely, Vee

Re: Is all of this Lupus? Love to hear your advice.

Hi Vee. Where are the sticky posts?

I have seen a rheumy. He diagnosed me with fibromyalgia but didn't go further than that. I didn't push him either and my primary didn't pay attention. Now I have a better primary and I know how to MAKE them pay attention. Illness is worse which is a good motivator.

I have labs taken friday and a couple x-rays. Hopefully these will be the next clue to the true diagnosis. At this point, I don't care what is wrong with me. I just want to know what it is. Treatment would be nice too!

Thanks for your reply.

Laura

Oh will do! thank you for that suggestion. One I haven't thought of. Yes it has taken me all these years to finally give up! So now the solution is imminent. It is nice to be able to contact people that have similar physical issues.

Thanks.

Re: Is all of this Lupus? Love to hear your advice.

Thank you for that! One I haven't thought of. It is nice to have contact with people that understand chronic illness. Yes being sick for many years with only diagnoses symptoms, but not the underlying cause is difficult. Have certain learned a lot that I am grateful for during these years. I believe my diagnosis is imminent, and I have never felt that way before.

Thanks,
Laura

Re: Is all of this Lupus? Love to hear your advice.

I am still awaiting results. I did want to tell you that I had a tick in my neck when I was nine in NJ where there are plenty of infected ticks. I had to go to the doctor as he was so far in, he needed to be cut out. Gross. I now have pneumonia. Related to Lupus, or Lymes?

Re: Is all of this Lupus? Love to hear your advice.

Hi. I personally wouldn't associate a tick that many years ago with current pneumonia. I think pneumonia can be bacterial, viral, or whatever (meaning I don't know what else can cause it). So, I really think you need those results from your last labs. Do they suggest autoimmunity or something else? And, do you believe in your current doctors? I hope your labs come back soon, with something that enables you to move forward. All my best, Vee

Re: Is all of this Lupus? Love to hear your advice.

Hey Vee. I will see the doc next week about the labs, but I have already had tests that suggest autoimmune, so I am leaning that way. Thanks for keeping up with my story!
