Watoozie, you didn't need this! Did you see the recent thread in which another member discusses lupus-ears? From that, I actually suspect (but don't "know") that Plaquenil side effect is only one possible cause.
Another thought: did either doctor consider cutting your Plaquenil dosage? I was put on a maintenance dose of 200 mg (meaning one pill daily) about 1-1/3 years in. That may be worth asking about, for various reasons, not just ears. I hope you post more when you can, always, Vee
