| Blood Pressure Spikes in the Night
Last night for the second time in my life I had a blood pressure that spiked over 200. First time it was 235/173 and very high pulse. Last night it was 210/110 with 170 pulse. I stayed in bed and monitored it for about 1/2 hour and it came back down to 160/93 and the pulse was at 90. I took a Valium and within 1/2 hour was back to sleep and slept through the night.
I am under the care of a cardiologist who is going to do an echo and a stress test next week to see if there is anything going on with the actual heart itself.
My father died at 69 of a stroke and my mother lived to be 90 when she died of COPED and complications from emphysema and vascular disease.
I feel good most of the time now - i'm on 40 mg lisinopril which i take at night.
Anyone having the same types of issues that could offer some light on this?
