Jen:
What's up?
When I was 18 I was diagnosed with Lyme treated for two weeks and then I departed for college. Since I wasn't treated properly alot of strange things happened to my body Bell's Palsy, tons of rashes, extreme fatigue, sleep problems, tiredness, poor concentration and memory etc. It was hellish without the proper treatment. My doctor wasn't knowledgeable and told me that everything I had was common in the everyday life of a college student. She was wrong.
I'm now 23 and am in like my fourth month of treatment from a Lyme knowledgeable doctor and am feeling so much better most of the time. I've graduated college somehow and am now going to work a dream job with the Philadelphia 76ers that really wouldn't have been possible without treatment this year. I'm actually able to get off my a$# now.... it's great.
But for you I wouldn't worry. Most doctors have a better understanding of Lyme now and since your on this website I'm assuming you've done your share of research to understand how important it is to follow your treatment.
Do yourself a favor and try to keep some of the people in this forum up to date on your situation, what your doctor is recommending you for treatment and news you may have especially if you see a doctor that doesn't specialize in Lymes. The people here really helped me out and it's nice to have some people around to talk about this kind of stuff cause it's uncomfortable.
So to sum up.
don't worry.....not that bad....... see good doctor.......follow treatment............post updates.........keep learnin...............get well......
