Want a good Lymes disease doctor in the Minneapolis St. Paul area or Rochester, MN.undefined
Hi ~ I am sorry I can't help you, but I would be interested if you find one in the Mpls area. I live in Northern MN, but I travel to Mpls to doctor a few times a year and would be interested if you find someone.
Want a good Lymes disease doctor in the Minneapolis St. Paul area or Rochester, MN.undefined
Hi ~ me again,
I just wanted to let you know that I found two email addresses through Lyme organizations that will email physician referrals (free). I wrote one last night and received a reply already today from one. I just emailed the other one today.
From the LDA (Lyme Disease Association, Inc), I received 3 names for doctors in the Mpls area - all they give is the name and phone number, so I have been doing web searches to try to locate more info on them, their specialty, etc. I found enough info on 1 to locate pertinent info about him, where he practices, bio, photo, specialty (infectious disease), etc. I only found info on one other doc where he was quoted in an article, which stated: he is an infectious disease specialist and professor of medicine at the University of Minnesota, is around 70 years old. Since it is a holiday today, I am trying to find info over the net. The third doc, I could not find anything on.
The organizations that I have found so far that give physician referrals for LLMD's are the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society (ILADS) site that links you to the National site for referrals in the USA (LDA). The one I emailed today is the American Lyme Disease Foundation, Inc (ALDF). I don't know what is allowed to post on this site, so will not include the URL's, but if you do a search you will bring up the info. The ALDF gives the options of emailing of calling for the info.
I hope this helps some.

Reason: added some info
Hi Peeps. Just to let you know, the American Lyme Disease Foundation is not known as a reputable Lyme organization by many in the Lyme community.
Thank you for that information, Ticker! I am brand new to all of this, so I appreciate learning what the Lyme 'patient/community' learns along the way! I am a 'sponge' right now - trying to soak up information. Take care and thanks again!
