Fibromyalgia or Lymes? - Lyme Disease Message Board

There was someone who posted information on Lymes Disease on the Fibromyalgia thread, and it made me come and check out Lymes. I'm completely confused. They sound so similar in symptoms, but as others have said, I don't remember getting bit or having a rash. I do however remember my pains, fatigue, depression and so much more getting worse after an auto accident and a breakup of an engagement. All of a sudden I couldn't do anything and I was in so much pain.. stiff, achy, memory problems, hair falling out, nails cracking, feet cracking, anemia, low white & red blood cell counts (really low), acne cysts, muscle weakness, out of breathe easily, dizziness, hopelessness and social isolation. What could this be, FM, CFIDS, or Lyme? I was tested for Lyme 3 years ago, but it came back negative ( I don't know what test they ran). Can any of you knowledgeable people on here please let me know what steps I need to do next to find out truely if I have Lymes Disease? Thank you so much!

Thanks for writing! I'm not sure, to be honest. I know I've had all my silver taken out of my teeth (with the exception of a small area they didn't get), but I'm not sure about the heavy metal tests. Is that what I should ask for?

I agree, lyme disease and fibro do sound very alike! But IMO lyme is more plausable, I feel like to many docters are sticking labels on us when they don't know what really is wrong. I also think that LD is what is aflicting many ppl with so called "unknown illnesses" Or the illnesses with names yet they don't know where they came fomr or how we got them. And to find out if you do have Lyme disease you would need to see a knowledgable docter, they can do blood tests and send them off to a reptuable lab. HTH!

My blood tests were negative for lyme too, but I had all of the symptoms. Look up Uncaria Tomentosa on the Net for more information about lyme. The tests for lyme disease that a regular doctor will give you, are invalid and inaccurate. I had lyme, ended up with fibromyalgia and heavy metals toxicity. It's been 16 months, I had antibiotics and had all of my mercury fillings removed, homeopathic remedies, hydrocolon therapy and LBG use for lymph blockage and am finally feeling better. Next I have to tackle yeast and parasites. Good luck, hope you find the answers you seek.
