Question on RA bumps-RA,Lupus,Lyme - Lyme Disease Message Board

I have been on Plaquenil Cipro Doxy since Nov.22, my question is, My Arthritis is getting much worse, bumps where I never had them before, has this happened to anyone else.

My joint pain got much, much worse once I started treatment. I think it must be the die off of the spirochete. The parasite is in your joints and once you start to kill it, then it has to detox out of you. That hurts alot and sometimes does create a rash as it comes out. I think it's part of the herx reaction.

I took a really hot bath the other day and saw big red bumps right across my chest on the water line. It was as if the spirochetes just rose up in my body to a place where the heat was off of them and they freaked out. I know that sounds crazy, maybe it's in my mind. I know it wasn't any bath products because it was just plain water, but I made it really really hot. I'm killin em. I think I'm Elmer Fudd on a hunt or something. Oh my goodness, I REALLY sound crazy. Sorry, i am feeling a little bit goofy tonight.

SW - that happens to me to whenever I shower or take a hot bath. It happened before treatment too - I think it is the heat that they hate and I believe too they are dying. I would think they would want to bore deeper into tissue to get away but maybe they are trapped and can't get out - that is what I believe

You aren't crazy sounding...I really wished that I could have seen my blood at the lab...just to see the enemy I think would have helped in some weird way...
