| I'm so excited about finally getting treated!!
I had an appt. with my ID and was thrilled to find out that I had "earned" a six week course of IV Rocephin. I would get up and dance if I could! She said that my neuro symptoms along with arthritic symptoms and the meningitis were almost certainly Lyme even though I don't meet the CDC criteria for research studies that is applied broadly. Elisa has been positive since Jan., but IgG and IgM keep changing which isn't so suprising. She and my neuro and my GP have all ordered tests from a spinal tap to be done by the radiologist the week after next.(Had to have blood patch after LP with meningitis last summer so she wants to admit me overnight) And after those results are in, we start the abxs(next appt is on the 27th). I am soooo happy. I have only been suffering a small time compared to others(infection occured during a camping trip in Canada last July), but I really can't imagine you guys who have been dealing for years or decades. God Bless You all!!!! Anyway, her name is Dr. Colquit and she is in Ft. Worth. I love her , she is the first dr. who actually listened to all of my seemingly unconnected symptoms and was actually HUMAN!!!! Good luck everyone and have a great weekend!
