Lightbulb It is all becoming so much Clearer...When I really got sick...

Ok this is just nuts!!!!

I saw a new cardiologist down here today. We will be conducting testing the week after next. My second stress test and halter moniter. It will be interesting comparing those in 2003 when I was having problems vs. now.

Anyway, I received one grouping of my old records from MA in the mail today from my old cardiologist...OH MY GOSH!!! It is so obvious I had Lyme and Babesia then. This was all in the winter before we went to Nantucket so either I had a re-exposure in Nantucket or all the little in spirochetes in my body were unleashed vibrating to the vibes of those surrounding us in our beach shack...I did have double vision while there but had chest pain and dypsnea (shortness of breath) in Feb. 2003.

There was a desaturation in my pulmonary tests that the doctor chaulked up in his letter to my cardiologist as a blip in the machine. He followed it up with another test and it was normal.

I complained of a band like feeling around my chest...which I later had around my arm last summer when I was stuck at my Mom's and went to the ER during a herx from doxy given to me by a vet. I have since learned from my LLMDs office that this band like feeling is frequently reported by lyme patients.

Then in the notes from back in MA the doctor reports that after receiving antibiotics for a UTI that the chest pain and shortness of breath were better...HELLO YOU MASSACHUSETTS DOCTOR - What about LYME?!?!

Nope, Lyme never even contemplated - he chaulked it up to possible pericarditis. Inflammation from unknown cause....

And that was that. Looking at those records now from my point of you as an educated lyme patient I realize it has Lyme written all over it. I had forgotten but I reported back then that my hair was falling out, I had lost five pounds, chills and that I was experiencing nausea after eating...Hello Babesia...

Anyway, it was a hoot looking over these records and gives me some piece of mind that I was sick with this horrible stuff even back then. I knew in my heart I was.

It is just so weird that I woke up the same week I got so sick with an unattached lone star tick on my pillow...it was either another exposure or a tick sent by God trying to get me to wake up and realize I was sick and that it was tick borne.

Anyway, sorry for the long post. Completely self interested too but for those of you that were here from the beginning I am sure you will find it very interesting...

Crazy stuff!!!!

Hope you all are well tonight!

Re: It is all becoming so much Clearer...When I really got sick...

Hi NCGirl,

Yes, it all sounds familiar to me too. I even had the rash on my ankle, yet it took 5 years to get a diagnosis.

I saw an endless amount of doctors, I could write down at least 50 doctors and all of them insisted I did NOT have Lyme.

I actually diagnosed myself and as fate would have it, I finally met with a nurse that I knew and asked her to ***** my finger and look at my blood under a microscope that was connected to a Monitor. Sure enough, those Spirochetes were flashing all around the screen.

Then I went to another doctor and simply said "I have Spirochetes". Then he sent me to another doctor.

Anyway, I remember you said a long time ago that you thought you had Lyme before you even moved to N.C., maybe the spirochetes layed dormat all that time.

The important part is you are being treated and look how smart you've become!! I do believe there is a reason for everything in life...

Denise

Re: It is all becoming so much Clearer...When I really got sick...

Hi NCgirl,

I live in Massachusetts....when I went to the ER with a super high fever, headache, fatigue and unbearible pain in the pelvis you know what they did? They did a CT of the abdoman and said I had two cysts that needed to be looked at by my O.B.!!! They gave me some tylenol and sent me on my way. Two days before that I had visited the urgent care center affiliated with my insurance and the doctor there ran every test BUT lyme.

Have a good night,

H & A

Yeah - me too...I couldn't breathe well - couldn't catch my breath...was having severe chest pain - Ran an abdominal CT scan on me too looking for blood clots.

Then tried Albuterol in case it was asthma even though I wasn't weazing...

I was at the hospital in Ayer, MA at the time...Interesting that just last month they were holding a public hearing on all the sick people in that area with lyme...I wrote to the Representative's Assistant letting her know my experience...although at the time I didn't have as definitive proof that I was infected then but now that I saw my records today I feel I definitely had it then...

Sounds like you were living pretty close to my area! RTe 495 North? Near Bolton and Stow? I wish there were some LLMD's in this state.
