Question Could this be Lyme Disease?

This started yesterday and is on my 3 year old. I never saw any ticks on her though. We do find them on the dog and in our house often (yuck I know, everyone here complains about it). I just tried to get her in to see the doctor this afternoon but they wouldn't see her (no appointments left they said). It doesn't seem to itch her, though. She has other bites on her that I gave her benadryl for yesterday but they look nothing like this, just like normal bites.

Re: Does this look like Lyme Disease?

Can you describe the bite. How it looks. Size. [Removed]
Does your daughter have any symptoms. I hope this is not lyme, but if it is you caught it early which is a very good thing.
Prayers....Marsha

Re: Does this look like Lyme Disease?

Hi mejrd94. What do the bites look like?

Although only about 50% of people who have Lyme ever get a rash, a bullseye rash is a definite sign of Lyme. There are other types of rashes also. Do some research on this. Keep getting photos, they are important. Place something near the bite/rash, like a coin or ruler, before photographing to give it size definition. Then you have evidence of it if needed later.

Do you treat your dog with Frontline or a similar product? This is important. Do you keep your yard mowed? Do you treat your yard for ticks? This can help tremendously.

Be on the look-out for any symptoms. I know it can be hard to tell with a young child.
