What Do bacteria's Feed off of???

Hi Everyone....I was talking to someone the other day and telling my story of Lyme Disease...
She asked me WHAT DO THE LYME BACTERIA'S FEED OFF OF? Beings they are put into something warm...Wow that got me to wondering....

What are anyone's thoughts on this

I have heard that they feed off dead lyme bacteria. Not sure if that is so. They would have to feed off more than dead lyme I would think. I wonder also now that you have asked. Be interested to see what others know.

kind of creepy...haha....

Its been a long time since I studied microbiology but ... I recall bacteria can live anywhere where there is warmth, water and food. The food is usually sugar.

Your question got me thinkin' ... I will research and report back.

Lets hope I find something usefull.
