2 qws re: symptoms and treatment results

Anyone here have breathing issues associated with Lyme/co -infections? I am breathing very shallow-ly, feel like its hard to get a satisfying breath, often feel like I have some gunk in my chect but x-ray showed nothing, just finished 2 mos. of Babesia treatement and now I am coushing more, hoarse voice often, diaphram is sore. I am now on Bartonella - Primaxin and Septra cuz i couldnt handle the pain with levaquin.

Any idears?

Also, I have done Lyme treatment for 3 mos (iv's) then Babesia IV's + orals 2mos and now Bartonella (2 weeks and counting) and I have had the best week I think I have had in a really long time. (But the week before was THE WORST EVER since on Antibiotics) Maybe even since before I became ill. I still have to do the Ehrlichia and then Lyme after that so did anyone experience vast improvemnts after they wrapped up the Bart/ Lyme treatment? Id love to hear some stories of what worked ans what didnt. THX!

Re: 2 qws re: symptoms and treatment results

Hi ohtheotherright, welcome to the board!

I am sorry you have so many infections at once. I know the feeling! Having them can complicate treatment and progress. I believe that most Lyme doctors feel the co-infections need to be treated first. Babesiosis and Ehrlichiosis can cause breathing problems.

Which Babs meds did you take? Two months of treatment for Babs is not really very long. It seems to me that four months should be the minimum or people often have to retreat it. You may need further treatment for the Babs.

It can take some time to recover, especially when you have so many infections.
