Re: Some advice and oppinions needed

I go on Sept 12th. I dont remember being bitten by a tick but it could have happened at work as I work outdoors. I will keep everyone updated. I almost forgot I had bloodwork done with my regular Dr. and everything came back normal. The Lyme test came back neg., my Lyme index value was .17 and it takes a 1.19 to be considered positive.

Re: Some advice and oppinions needed

Yeah I was just posting the results on here for the heck of it. I remember everyone telling about them. Havent been on antibiotics yet. I also cant wait to hear what the Dr. says. I am worried that if she does put me on antibiotics that I will be feeling terrible for my wedding in Nov. I guess I'll cross that bridge if I come to it.

Re: Some advice and oppinions needed

Jojo I havent thought about doing anything until I either test positive or when I go to Dr. E she tells me I have Lyme. I figured why start treating something if i'm not 100% sure I have it.

Re: Some advice and oppinions needed

hi joemac! dont worry of how you will be feeling on abx, believe me , you will be feeling worst with out them! so dont stress, i am sure by nov you will feel much better, i started feeling a little better after 3 weeks of abx, 2 weeks ago i left doxy.. i am not taking anythiong at the moment, i took them for 5 months.. so i am doing a litle experiemnt to see how i feel with out them, i am much better than 6 months ago, but still not a 100 percent good, but much better...you will probably start with doxy, i felt a some nausea in high dosiss after a week, so after a while doctor put me on 200 a day and didit feel sick..lets see what doctor tells you, by the way, there is a lot of ticks where you livei dont remember either bitten by i tick, but i got it... good luck!

Re: Some advice and oppinions needed

Hi JOEMAC. Good luck at your upcoming appointment! Is this with Dr. E.? I am sure you wil get some answers.

It sounds like you had the ELISA or titer. From what I understand, it is the least reliable test.

Let us know how your appointment goes okay?
