I wrote something the other day about my having a cyst stalked off my pituitary gland that messes around with my thyroid and since around the first of summer it has been again. I've been on Armour Thyroid but honestly am not good at taking it regularly or as I should but think I've become a bit more inspired at the moment.

It started off as always with my left elbow really dry, cracked and itching but nothing else I really noticed much. I've always had dry eyes and think some of it is just inherited(well...honestly who knows as my family is also so affected by this in varying degrees). Anway.....I went from better than 20/20 last fall to BIFOCALS...yeah....shocked me for sure! I did at least laugh when the doc looked at me and first thing said "Do you have any underlying illnesses?".....brother!lol!....too many to list! ..which is what I told her even. Anyway I've been trying to find contacts that work and got some in early spring but once it got so hot outside they just didn't work. Were rolling all over my eyes all the time from sweating, etc. I also have some astigmatism. I was originally given the type to wear for 2 weeks but never wore them more than a matter of hours as they drove me nuts. Just a quick nap and I'd be ready to claw my eyes out.
Well.......since I've been on a search for different ones I've had the hardest time and it's constantly been that the left one has just not fit right and really bothered me. It really started bugging me yesterday and when I got home and was able to take it out wow was I relieved! It was KILLING me!!! I thought I'd just gotten something in it but by last nite was nuts and as I've been trying to setup my stainedglass workshop thought I'd gotten a sliver in it or something. The doc said itsounds more like a corneal ulcer and I started abx drops last nite and have been up most of the niteand go in about an hour to his office. I'm trying to type with one eye open and the other tearing and hurting like nuts so hope I make sense!.....am sure yall are used to my posts already but this may be worse?
Anyway....when I looked up causes for that last nite it of course mentioned among other things dry eyes, allergies(mine have been HORRIBLe this summer), and immunosuppression among other things. I think I basically fit all though....too sleepy to remember at the moment. I was just wondering though how many others have problems with dry skin/eyes etc. My skin (other than the elbow) is nothing like it has been the rest of my life but then I'm a lotionaholic now too. Strong stuff as well!! I used to scratch myself to death during my sleep and wake up looking like I'd slept with a wild cat under the covers that had clawed me to death every nite. It was horrible! Winters were really bad. That's much better but any ideas/advice on the eyes? Anything anyone else does that helps? Like I said I only wear the contacts at most 8 hours(that's really max too) during the day but then this...Just trying to prevent a next time. Had a bug fly in my eye once and wow it hurt...had scratched it. Am thinking this is worse though......OUCH!!!!!
Thanks in advance for the input!
