CD 57 Testing

Does anyone know anything about the CD 57 test? My Dr. uses it to gauge whether or not to discontinue the antibiotics. I guess a score of 60 is normal (it is lower when there is an active Lyme infection). My score is 110 after 2 1/2 month on antibiotics. My Dr. is a very LLMD - so I trust him. He says that being over 60 means that there will be no relapse.

He says I can get off the antibiotics at any time now. I have only had Lyme since December. Many of my symptoms are waning but not all of them. He believes that is because I now need to detox more - to get rid of all the dead crap (the dead Lymies).

I bought an Infrared Sauna and my Dr. does some detox therapies as well.

Just wondered if anyone else has had this test or had comments. Thanks.

Re: CD 57 Testing

Hi srocc20655.

The CD57 test is also known as the Sticker panel, named after the doctor who discovered its use as a indicator of a Lyme infection.

I've had my CD57 panel tested twice. I can't find my results at the moment, but I remember it was zero (0).

Your number sounds pretty high - so good job!!

If I dig up my results, I will post them for you.

Re: CD 57 Testing

Thanks 6Blues. I now have to get off the Rocephin - last night when I did the IV I had a very bad allergic reaction. I had to use the shot they give you! It was scary. Good thing my Dr. thinks I can get off it at this point.

I appreciate your response and good luck to you. Sue

Re: CD 57 Testing

I had a CD-57 recently, with some other tests with a LLMD here in PA. I don't get to see him again til early Sept, where hopefully we can get some anti-biotics started. My result was 78. "normal" is supposed to be from 60 to 300. But I keep getting recurring symptoms, so I still suspect Lymes. I hope it's just the Lymes, dreadful as it is, and not some auto-immune problem. At least the Lymes can be treated.
